Music by the Jambalaya Brass Band. New York City's ultimate New Orleans party band. They are available for performances with a s few as 5 pieces or as many as 9 pieces. Since 1998 they've been kickin' it hard with a flavor straight from the streets of New Orleans, paying their respects to the unique musical traditions of New Orleans incorporating a special blend of R & B, Funk, Gospel Traditional Jazz, Zydeco, Latin, Hip Hop and Be-Bop. They will take you on a historical journey through the New Orleans brass band tradition. It is a joyous romp starting from the early beginnings with Buddy Bolden, Jelly Roll Morton and Louis Armstrong and ending up with their own modern sounds influenced by the Rebirth, Dirty Dozen and New Birth brass bands.

** This is an outdoor event and is weather permitting. Refunds will be given in the event of a weather cancellation.
* Parking is limited at the preserve. We encourage guests to carpool, ride a bike or find alternative means of transportation if possible. Parking on the surrounding roads is not permitted and risks being towed at the owner's expense.
Fees/Admission
Non-Members: $20 per person $10 per child (18 and under)
Members: $5 per person (Adult & Child) Discounts apply to family members only. Please be mindful. Membership does not guarantee a reserved spot.
Ages 2 and under are free.
Additional $5 for tickets purchased at the event.
Parking will be reserved for pre-registered guests. If the event is sold out it means we have reached our parking capacity. You may still purchase a ticket at the door but will not be able to park on the grounds.

Join the Science Museum of Long Island for our 2nd Annual Live at Five Outdoor Concert Series! Guests are invited to bring a blanket and chairs as they listen to the music, enjoy local fare, and watch the sunset over Manhasset Bay. Fun for the whole family with beer and wine served by the Bubbly Bard, local food trucks and vendors, guest performances and speakers, science and nature activities and games the whole family can enjoy.
